The Guelaguetza, Oaxaca's main cultural celebration, will take place on Mondays, July 21 and 28, 2025. These days are traditionally known as "Lunes del Cerro".

The Guelaguetza is a celebration of the cultures of the eight regions of Oaxaca, where delegations present music, dances and traditional costumes. In addition to the presentations at the Guelaguetza Auditorium, other cultural activities are held throughout the month of July, such as parades, mezcal fairs and gastronomic samples. 

Ticket sales for Guelaguetza 2025 have already begun. It is important to purchase tickets in advance, as demand is high. It is recommended to visit the official tourism offices to purchase tickets.
